Posted 13th May
As restrictions ease and we find ourselves a fully-vaccinated workforce, we’re pleased to say that we’ve reached a point where we can start heading back toward pre-covid normality!
Our current opening hours of 10am to 4pm Monday to Thursday were set up to protect our reduced staff from both exposure to covid and not having enough hours in the day! Now that we’re gradually building up to a full house again we can start planning for the next few weeks as we return to “normal”, whatever that is….
From Monday 17th May, we’ll be returning to trading five days a week. Our opening hours to begin with will be 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. At this stage, we’ll be holding off opening the cash and carry space for browsing, but the doors will be open and you can step into the building to be served, with social distancing measures in place. We ask that you sanitise your hands as you enter, and wear a face covering. We’ll have disposable masks available, so don’t worry if you’ve forgotten yours.
If the government roadmap proceeds as I’m sure we’re all hoping it will, this will mean a lifting of most restrictions on June 21st. We will make decisions based on government guidance, but if this date stands, we will be opening our doors for browsing again on Monday 21st June. We’ll be open Monday to Friday, and hopefully we can stay that way!
As when we reopened over Summer 2020, if you feel more comfortable ordering over the phone for contactless collection from our loading bay or outside the premises, we’re happy to continue with this. Just let us know when you call, make payment by card over the phone if necessary, and then collect as usual. We understand that it’s all going to be a strange transition and will do what we can to make your purchase as easy and stress-free as we can.
