After Saturday’s announcement of a second lockdown, this morning at Jones & Cane we’ve discussed how to go forward from Thursday as new restrictions kick in. We’re better prepared this time thanks to our work to make things safe earlier in the year, and so we’ve made a plan of action that we hope will keep customers supplied with what they need, and health risk to a minimum.
As in the first lockdown, the doors to our cash and carry will be closed. Instead we will ask customers to call orders in on 01603 722264, and goods will be left in our clearly marked loading bay for collection. Card payments can be taken by telephone when the order is placed, and account customers will be invoiced as usual.
In order to keep things running smoothly and safely we have taken the decision to close on Fridays for the duration of this lockdown. We hope you’ll understand that as a small business servicing the food sector we’re doing everything we can to stay open and help our customers. This is a temporary measure to ensure we can do that to the best of our ability.
Online orders will be delivered as usual, subject to our couriers continuing to operate as normal. We will still be running a van on a delivery route around Norfolk, but this may well be on a slightly reduced schedule, and will be subject to our usual minimum order quantity for delivery. Deliveries may take an extra day for the next few weeks.
We’re pleased to be able to stay open during this second lockdown, and once again we thank our customers for their understanding as we work through these uncertain times. If you have any further questions, please do give us a call on 01603 722264.
